Doctor Lawson Earl Howard, Jr. is a native of Houston, TX. He was
born in Fifth Ward and raised in South Park where he attended Jesse H.
Jones High School. Dr. Howard played varsity baseball and basketball
at Jones and also participated in on-campus clubs, including the Honor
Society, GENTS, MACHO and Hands Across the Bayou. He went on to attend
Grambling State University on an Athletic Baseball Scholarship and
earned a B.S. in Biology with a minor in Chemistry.
After Graduation Dr. Lawson Howard worked as an Environmental
Investigator at Harris County Pollution Control. During his tenure with
the county he worked out for professional scouts at the Texas- Louisiana
Baseball League free agent camp. He was invited to spring training
with the River City Rascals Minor League Baseball Team of the Frontier
League in O’Fallon, Missouri.
Dr. Howard performed very well at spring training, but did not make
the team. Upon his return to Houston he enrolled in the Texas
Chiropractic College. Becoming a Doctor of Chiropractic Care fulfilled a
desire to be a help to his community. Dr. Howard treats many athletes
and helps patients with neuromusculoskeletal conditions. He loves his
profession because it is natural, preventative care that provides drug
free pain relief. He specializes in treating neck pain, back pain, leg
pain, arthritis, headaches, auto-accidents and sports injuries.
Dr. Lawson Howard is very active in his community. He is a member of
Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., Prince Hall Masonry, American Black
Chiropractic Association, Houston Area Urban League, South East Little
League Baseball, Houston ISD VIPS and Miracle Land Church. Dr. Howard
donates many hours of service to inner city schools and athletic
programs and provides therapy and school physicals to low-income kids.
My duties are to serve the South East area of Houston, Texas and
educate my community about the importance of health and chiropractic
care. Remember, “You should never be in pain and Think Chiropractic!”
